GCS

DESTINATION

GCS Hikes

GCS-Hikes are an integral part of our overall Group Conditioning Sessions ( GCS ) to prepare members for our outdoor activities ( see our Activity list ). As many members are busy executives with little experience in the outdoors, such sessions serve to acquaint them with walking on uneven terrains and the ways of the trail.

The GCS-Hikes are conducted F R E E of charge and are held on Saturdays at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve from 3:30pm to 6:00pm. We will have a hiking leader to guide us along while walking up the ever arduous slopes of  Bt Timah as we go along our favourite circuit hike. Everyone is welcomed to join us in the session. No pre-registration is required.

Do note however that these are conditioning ( training ) sessions which may require hard physical exertions at certain times and at certain stretches of our hiking route. This is after all, the same training ground for our local Everest heroes. Hence members who have been 'out of action' for quite a while may find them a bit too strenuous for their comfort. Even so, you can choose to sit out some portions of it to prevent over-exertion.

Our meeting place & time for the GCS-Hikes is 3.30pm at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve Visitor Centre. Please gather at the area around the benches outside the washrooms. As we value your time, we shall only wait 15 minutes before starting our hike promptly at 3.45pm without further waiting for late comers. Hence kindly be punctual and if you're late, we're sorry we cannot wait for you and you have to hike-train on your own.

Do check out our front page to see if our GCS hikes are on at the moment or not . . . !
