Overview

Mongolia is the Land of the Blue Sky with 260 sunny days a year and homeland to the nomadic horsemen descendents of Chinggis Khan ( also Genghis Khan ). It is the 17th largest country in the world, yet it supports a population of just two and a half million, about half of whom are nomadic. The vast landscapes and nomadic culture make this a truly fascinating adventure destination. It is a country of immense variety: big sand dunes, taiga forest, open steppe, snow-covered mountains, volcanoes, hot springs, lakes and major river systems.
