Langtang Valley Trek

Most accessible to Kathmandu, the Langtang region which lies just south of the Tibetan border was designated as Nepal's first Himalayan national park in 1971 and is the 3rd most popular trekking area in Nepal Himalaya. As tough as the ABC trek but shorter in duration & trek distance, the Langtang Valley Trek leads to a glacier at the foot of Langtang Lirung (7246-m) close to the peak's base camp. This trek to the heart of the spectacular Langtang valley offers an opportunity to explore villages, to climb surrounding small peaks of up to 5000-m (such as the wonderful hike up Tsergo Ri 4984-m) to give you that fantastic top-of-the-world feeling, and to visit glaciers at a comfortably moderate elevation. The trail itself offers trekkers an exceptional diversity of scenery and culture as we pass through various local settlements with their rich Tibetan Buddhism heritage. Highly recommended for those short on leave but who still want to experience classic Nepal trekking at its best ... !
