When To Go: May to September
 


Day 1
Singapore - Beijing - Ulaan Baatar. Visit to Gandan Monastery, with its huge gold plated Buddha, a symbol of Mongolian national pride and cultural revival. Overnight in hotel.

Day 2 - 9

Day 2: Ulaanbaatar / Murun
Take domestic flight to Murun. Transfer to base camp at Khuvsgol Lake. Free time and walking nearby lake. Visit to local nomad family. Overnight in tourist ger camp.

Day 3. Khatgal / Hilt Lake
After breakfast, horse riding to Hilt Lake. Overnight at tent.

Day 4. Hilt Lake/ Khatgal / Tsaatan people
After breakfast, ride back to tourist camp. Afternoon drive to Tsaatan people /Reindeer people/ Overnight in tourist ger camp.

Day 5. Murun / Ulaanbaatar
Drive to Murun. Take domestic flight back to Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to hotel. Excursion to the Gandan monastery with its gold –plated 26 m Buddha statue decorated with precious stones. Then we attend a chanting ceremony by major lamas in the Monastery and pray for a successful journey. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6. Ulaanbaatar / Gobi / Yol Valley
Transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to the Gobi. Transfer to tourist ger camp. In the afternoon drive to the Yol Valley National Park for a hike and an opportinuty to photograph the stunning landscape, the Gobi Glacier and the intriguing wildlife. Overnight in tourist ger camp.

Day 7. Yol Valley / Khongor Sand Dunes
Drive to Khongor sand dunes. Visit to Khongor Sand Dunes, largest moving sand with a small river flows beside it. Visit a local camel breeding family to learn about the traditional nomadic lifestyle. Overnight in tourist ger camp.

Day 8. Khongor sand dunes/ Bayanzag
Drive to Bayanzag , saxaul forest in the desert where dinosaur skeletons, fossilized eggs and other pre historic giant animals has been found. It is great trekking in Bayanzag. Overnight at tourist ger camp.

Day 9. Gobi / Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast take a domestic flight to Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to hotel. Visit to the Winter Palace Museum of Bogd Khaan, the home of the last Mongolian king who resided there in the early part of this century. Shopping. In the evening performance of Mongolian folk song and dance. Overnight in hotel.

Day 10 After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight home via Beijing.
