Horse Riding in the Lake Khuvsgul Region

This journey offers a close encounter with culture, nature and the nomadic lifestyle of Mongolia in the Lake Khuvsgul region.

The highlight of the tour is a horse-packing journey with our own horses with nights spent close to nature camping under millions of stars or in ger camps.

When To Go: May to September
 


Day 1
Singapore - Beijing - Ulaan Baatar. Visit to Gandan Monastery, with its huge gold plated Buddha, a symbol of Mongolian national pride and cultural revival. Overnight in hotel.

Day 2 - 11

Day 2: Ulaanbaatar / Murun
Take domestic flight to Murun. Transfer to ger camp and visit local family. Overnight at tourist eco ger.

Day 3: Murun / Khatgal
Drive to Khatgal. Enjoy the scenery at Khuvsgol Lake. Select your horse and prepare for ride. Overnight in tourist ger camp.

Day 4 to 9: 6 Day Horse Riding Adventure from Khatgal to Ulaan Uul
After breakfast, we start our horse riding adventure. The horse riding tour is 6 days and we can expect to cover a total distance of about 165 km. Throughout the ride, we will stay in tents.

Day 10: Ulaan Uul / Khatgal
Today we drive back to Khatgal. Overnight in tourist ger camp.

Day 11 : Khatgal / Murun / Ulaan Baatar
Drive to Murun and then take domestic flight t o Ulaan Baatar. Free time for own activities till evening when we will enjoy folk singing and dancing. Also visit Zaisan Hill. Overnight in hotel.

Day 12 After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight home via Beijing.
