Cameron Highland Explorer

One of the wonders of Malaysia, Cameron Highlands is the largest & most famous hill resort in the country. Discovered by a British surveyor, William Cameron in 1885, this highland paradise still retains much of the charm of an English village. The main town, Tanah Rata, is at 1440-m and is about 60-km from the town of Tapah on the Kuala Lumpur - Ipoh highway.

In this trip, we will be exploring the following:

Tea Plantation & factory, aborigine village ( Semai tribes), World War II Helicopter (1950 British Helicopter) wreckage, Cave waterfall, Gunung Berinchang and Blowpipe hunting ...

Gunung Berinchang

Gunung Berinchang, standing at 2032-m, is the highest point in Peninsular Malaysia that can be accessed by car. The tower at the summit offers a scenic view of rows upon rows of vegetable plots and tea plantation on hills slopes stretching across the horizon . . . making for good photo-taking opportunities.

Temperature in the Cameron Highlands hovers between 15 to 26 celsius degrees. It used to be cooler but nowadays due to global weather changes / warming, you can make do with just a light sweater for the day hike at Berinchang.

Everyone needs to be prepared for bad weather with basic waterproofing gear ( ponchos, rain-coats, and umbrellas are helpful ...! ). If it's rainy, waterproofing for your backpack is a must.
