Rajasthan
Culture & Camel Trek
Rajasthan in north-east India is the land of Rajput
Kings, a group of warrior clans, who have controlled this part of India
for 1000 years. It is a colorful state steeped in history and culture;
with stunning and elegant palaces, forts, lakes, sand Dunes, wildlife
sanctuaries and beautiful temples. The state is diagonally divided as
the hilly and rugged south-east region and dry and barren north-east
Thar Desert.
A trip to Rajasthan is never complete without taking
a camel trek which gives you an experience of ancient merchant's life
traveling from the East to West through the desert lands. It is also
a great chance to explore the Rajasthani lifestyle in spectacular sand
dunes, villages and castles. What entices most about Rajasthan is the
traditional lifestyle, festivity and friendly and warm people.
In addition, we'll take a tour of the popular Golden
Triangle circuit which provides some wonderful sights of northern India
- including the one & only Taj Mahal - perhaps the greatest monument
of love of a king to his queen.
Due to the climate constraints, this program is scheduled
only during the cooler months from November to February.

During the daytime, the sun can be blistering, while
desert nights can get very cold. Sore, even blistered, bums after a
hard days riding is not uncommon so extra cushioning is recommended.
Riding the camel is not as easy as it appears and a relaxed and steady
rhymth will make for a comfortable ride. Needless to say, galloping
on a camel is not advised for amateurs.
